About Simon
My marketing journey began in 2004 when I moved from my sales role at Lion Nathan to a Trade Marketing role. I was marketing beer. The dream had come true.
But in 2007 I decided to go out on my own and after a few false starts, I founded TwoCents, a full-service marketing agency in 2009. I ran that (badly) for six years and after a couple of years of consultancy, I founded what would become Cemoh, alongside my business partner Matt Clarkson.
I’ve mentored/coached/advised 300+ businesses in the past 16 years and I’ve pretty much seen everything when it comes to business & marketing. I’ve stood on stage and spoken on behalf of dozens of organisations, including Facebook.
On a personal note, I live in Brisbane, support Tottenham Hotspur, try and keep fit, write science fiction novels and am a single dad, lucky enough to be raising two awesome boys.
THE CEMOH STORY
Slap bang in the middle of a global pandemic, Simon and his business partner Matt Clarkson, launched Cemoh.com in 2020. Whilst the premise of delivering the best marketing people seemed simple, the journey has proved anything but that.
Cemoh has grown to be one of the leading suppliers of marketing consultants in Australia, and introducing the concept of fractional marketing people and teams into the country.

Boards need direction and that direction is often delivered by the Chairperson. My goal is to set clear and useful agendas that achieve the goals of the business and then ensure that those tasked with running and advising the company stick to those goals.
It’s rare to have a Chairperson with such broad experience in mentoring business owners and hands-on marketing experience, so I believe I can deliver a truly unique perspective for companies. If there’s one (other) thing I’m good at apart from marketing, is organising other people!
